Today's workshop introduced the principles of working somatically, and the value of tapping into non-verbal communication to support cognition-based work. The full benefits of a somatic practice are gained through a deep understanding of your own nervous system, your stress responses, how you experience your emotional states as physical sensations, and how you embody your values and identity - your felt sense of Self.
Work with me to develop and integrate somatics into your own coaching practice, including the benefits of working somatically, embodiment practices, and how to work with a somatic lens.
Clients often know what they're supposed to do, but making that change when under pressure may see them return to familiar, unhelpful behaviours - reacting instead of making intentional responses, and repeating default patterns that miss the nuances of the situations they're navigating.
The challenge isn't always a lack of insight. It's the ability to access that insight when it matters most.
The FELT Method - Feel | Embody | Lead | Transform - explores how a deeper understanding of your nervous system can help create more sustainable behavioural change, and better outcomes for you and your clients.
